FAQ:

I didn't watch the video... what is ActiveWoo, what does it do, why should I buy it?

I heard ActiveCampaign has a free plugin - why buy this one?

Is this a One Time Fee or a Subscription? What exactly to I get with my purchase?

How Many Sites Can I Use This Plugin On?

What If I Can't Get The Plugin To Work?

Does it add customers to lists, segments etc?

Does it Add Tags to Contacts, Does it Add Product Category Tags? Does it Keep A Running Total of Revenue Spent Per Customer?

Does it Sync up past orders? What if I have over a thousand ( or over 20,000 past orders)?

Does it have Recover Cart / Abandon Cart?  ( What is Recover Cart and why do I want that?)

Is the Checkout and Recover Cart GDPR compliant?

Does it work with WooCommerce Subscriptions ( or other subscription plugins?) Can it automatically update when someone cancels?

Does it work with Basic, Plus & Enterprise Active Campaign Plans?

What is a staging server? Why do I need one, and how do I get one?

Is this the last FAQ?

Is there any way of saving info about the order and the quantity of a certain product?
I would like to send an email saying, for example:
“Your order is of 2 Blue tshirt (prod_id_blue) and 3 Red tshirt (prod_id_red)”
How can I achieve this?
Thanks

    Jason kadlec

The new DeepData integration allows for this level of detail. I’m just finishing final testing of this new component of ActiveWoo – as well as I need to update all my videos etc…. note that DeepData is only available if you have the ActiveCampaign Plus account or better.

Laura

I have the subscriptions extension and I need that every new recurring payment creates a monthly tag for the monthly planor 4 for new tags for the 4-month plan. ActiveWoo can do that or better to achieve it with automations?
Thanks

    Jason kadlec

You’d use ActiveCampaign automations to achieve applying a new tag each cycle of the subscription ( eg a Month1 .. Month2 .. Month3 tag).

william@nutt.io

Hey Jason! With DeepData integration in place for WooCommerce, are there any conflicts with ActiveWoo? Thanks!

    Jason kadlec

ActiveWoo has DeepData integration – it is optional and you can turn it off if you want to use the ActiveCampaign plugin along side ActiveWoo.

Simone

Is compatible with woothemes membership and woothemes sensei?

    Jason kadlec

As long as those plugins use Woocommerce, yes. ActiveWoo is specifically integrated with the Woocommerce subscriptions plugin – which many membership sites use.

Rick

Hey Jason,

Your plugin looks awesome. I actually was on the fence about switching over to ActiveCampaign from Drip because of the new DeepData integration, but it was still lacking some features that it looks like your app has. An unexpected feature I am very interested in is the “All Guest” checkout, I’ve been wishing this was a feature for a long time.

From what I understand I am able to auto convert old guest accounts to users, is this correct?
If so, are there any automated emails that are sent out when you trigger this or am I able to control all emails etc?
The temporary password that’s set, is this also only sent through an automation I define?

    Jason kadlec

Rick – almost.. if a guest were to make a new purchase, this would then trigger ActiveWoo to generate a user… then the old guest purchases would be there for that customer on the next time she/he visited the My Account Page.

Hi Jason

We’ve signed up to ActiveCampaign mainly on the articles how good the deep data integration is but since testing have been really disappointed in it.

Is Active Woo able to help with any of the following:

1. As far as I can see from our tests DeepData integration only integrates data for current users in activecampaign and doesn’t add users when an order is created in woo commerce.
2. There doesn’t seem to be a way to customise what order status the order is imported at (Pending payment, Processing, Complete) or at least only import data when status is Complete. Can ActiveWoo Help with this?
3. We want to customise what fields we import to ActiveCampaign and map where these match up. this isn’t possible with DeepData, is this possible with ActiveWoo?

Thanks and I appreciate any help you can give with this.

    Jason kadlec

Bobby – thank you for your question, and for following up via the Help desk, I try to check the help desk daily and don’t get back to comments quite as often.

Here are answers to your inquiry:

    1. As far as I can see from our tests DeepData integration only integrates data for current users in activecampaign and doesn’t add users when an order is created in woo commerce.

    >> I’ve not done extensive testing with the Active Campaign free plugin, but I’m guessing something is not working as it should be.

ActiveWoo also offers DeepData, but ActiveWoo was also developed & launched about a year before ActiveCampaign created the DeepData integration.

Therefore ActiveWoo does everything they way it always has ( with custom fields) – and also uses DeepData, and also can be used in conjunction / alongside the free plugin ( just be sure to leave Deep Data disabled with ActiveWoo, if you choose to use the ActiveCampaign free plugin for its deep data integration).

    2. There doesn’t seem to be a way to customise what order status the order is imported at (Pending payment, Processing, Complete) or at least only import data when status is Complete. Can ActiveWoo Help with this?

    >> Yes / sort of. ActiveWoo gives you the ability to “Sync all order statuses” as well as the ability to “sync order upon order creation” as separate settings.

So you can’t specify at this time *which* order statuses sync, but rather just sync them all, or just sync when the order is marked complete/ “payment received” notice is received by Woocommerce ( which ever of those happens first will sync ActiveWoo by default).

To say another way, ActiveWoo, by default will only sync when “payment complete” is received — usually this puts an order into the “Processing” status… and then for sure will sync when the order is set to “complete” — at that time, if the order was not yet synced, ActiveWoo will do so.

    3. We want to customise what fields we import to ActiveCampaign and map where these match up. this isn’t possible with DeepData, is this possible with ActiveWoo?

Possibly ~ ActiveWoo is built to integrate with the Woocommerce Custom Fields extension, so if you’ve used that to customize your checkout fields, then yes. If not, then no/not without further development/feature request.

I’ve laid out each feature, what it does, and how to set it up in a comprehensive tutorial you can find here:

    https://activewoo.com/members/installation-instructions

If anything I’ve written raised more questions than it answered, please check out this video ( note there are time stamp references so you can jump to the part of the video that you need to know about)…

If you still have questions after watching the video – please click the green help icon on this page, and open a support ticket.

    Thank you for considering ActiveWoo!

      Thanks Jason

Think that’s most of my questions answered. I’ll buy the plugin and do further testing from here.

Hi there,

has anyone ever tested this with WC global cart?
I’m thinking of using them for on boarding users in a different site.

    Jason kadlec

Nobody has yet tried ActiveWoo with WC Global Cart – but you may try it and if it doesn’t work, your purchase will be refunded.

Emil

Hi,
We are interested if you can make a similar plugin for OpenCart. We would surely buy it.
Thanks.
Best Regards,
Emil Moldovan

    Jason kadlec

We will let you know – but for now just Woocommerce and ActiveCampaign

Rachelle

Hello, I have a question.
I am looking for a simple way to integrate date based workshops and I would like to get the chosen date into a custom field in ActiveCampaign.
Is this possible with ActiveWoo? With which Checkout Field Editor plugin does ActiveWoo integrate?

Jason kadlec

Rachelle – ActiveWoo is only setup to integrate with this checkout field editor:

https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-checkout-field-editor/

It will “work” with the one you’ve purchased – meaning it shouldn’t prevent ActiveWoo from working, but it won’t sync any fields you create using the Theme High plugin.

ActiveWoo syncs variable products via the SKU — if each variation has its own SKU – then you could use tags for this.

Also ActiveWoo uses the DeepData integration, you may be able to use this to be able to use the product name from within an Automation.

There currently is no way to directly map some value in a variable product to a custom field in ActiveCampaign using ActiveWoo.

But as mentioned above, you can use a tag to create an if/else branch in an automation, then set the custom field date depending on what tag was applied, so it is do-able, just not directly so,

Zlata Brouwer

Question… do I understand that ActiveWoo can take the cross sells and upsells already there in WooCommerce and add them to an e-mail? Or do you need to set this up separately in ActiveCampaign? Thanks!

    Jason kadlec

    Zlata:

You will set this up in ActiveCampaign separately.
